Hi all!
This was a very not-so-busy weekend. I had stuff to do, but it wasn't super busy (which was nice).
On Saturday, I went to a paint party to help celebrate my friend, Christina's, birthday. It was so much fun drinking wine and painting! A lady named Dawn came to Christina's Aunt's house to teach us how to paint. It was really neat doing it at somebody's house instead of going to an art studio. You can find her Facebook Page here. We ended up finishing 10 bottles of wine (between 8 or 9 people) within a matter of 2 or 3 hours. After we were done painting, we went out for some Mexican food. Needless to say, Christina's family is a hoot (sober and drunk, haha)! I had a great time!
Side note: I told Angie (my MIL) about this, and she really wants to go to a paint party. I think we'll actually go to a studio next time though (we don't have anywhere in our houses to host a party). I can't wait to do it again really soon with her and a few other family members. :)
Sunday was even less busy than Saturday. My best friend, Rachel, had a birthday party for her 3 year old daughter. It was really great seeing her family since I don't see them as much as I used to. Lily had a blast playing with her friends and siblings, eating some good food, opening up presents, and eating cake and ice cream. :P
Next weekend is Labor Day weekend, and I have a FOUR day weekend! I'm super excited! I wish it was Thursday, and I haven't even started my work week yet...
