In my first post, I mentioned that I had two goals that I would like to complete by the end of the year. I want to become more organized/help others become more organized, and I would also like to improve my fitness.
A few months ago I was introduced to planning. OH MY GOSH. It has taken over my life. I bought an Erin Condren Life Planner**, and it's only gotten worse from there. I obsessively look on Etsy for stickers for it, and I've easily spent over $200 on just planner supplies since the beginning of July. However, my life has never ran so smoothly since I actually enjoyed writing in a planner and planning my week. Last year, one of my best friend's bought me a Lily Pulitzer planner for my birthday. I used it and it was super helpful, but I was never consistent with writing in my daily "to-dos" in it. After school ended, I kind of stopped using it all together. In the beginning of June, I started following a girl on Youtube (who I actually went to UM-Flint with), who is basically the queen of planning. She has her own Etsy shop with any kind of ECLP sticker you can think of.
I think I've stuck with planning out my days so well because, it's fun now. I get to decorate (and almost scrapbook) my planner, so it is so much more appealing! I've even got my friend Stephanie into planning now. So far this goal is working out great! Side note: I plan on publishing a blog post in the future that shows how I set up my planner to fit my needs! Maybe this can help you if you are interested in becoming more organized. :)
My other goal is to improve my fitness. Ever since I was little, my diet has basically consisted of fast food and processed food. I've gone on "diets" before, but those only last so long and I have always gained back any weight I've lost. Last year, I started to follow Weight Watchers, but I fell off of that and haven't really attempted to get back on it. I was considering joining again, but I still haven't convinced myself to do it. I figured that I needed to make an actual change in my diet, and not just go on a diet (if that makes sense...?). I've tried this quite a few times in the past, but maybe if I hold myself accountable on a blog or some other platform, I'll stick to it. It's definitely worth a try, and I don't really have anything to lose. I would also like to improve my fitness by becoming more active. I'll hopefully achieve this goal by making my step goals on my FitBit everyday! We'll start there at least.
Talk to you tomorrow!

I love your writing! Can't wait to read more :)
ReplyDeleteIf you ever need help with the blog, fitness, let me know! I'd love to help!
And PLEASE post your pictures of your planner weeks. I'm kind of struggle to find what style I like. Mine is horizontal (I don't have an ECLP) and it doesn't look as nice and the vertical ones.
Thanks Anneke! I'm publishing a post tomorrow that will show my ECLP and some of the spreads I've done so far! There's a planner called The Happy Planner that is a lot like the vertical ECLP. Hobby Lobby sells it (and a ton of stickers, accessories, etc.), and you can use a 40% off coupon which reduces the price to about $15! Most of the ECLP stickers you can find on Etsy will fit in it, too! Just a suggestion :)
DeleteI will definitely look into it without spending all my money! I have to force myself to walk away from the planners now. Hahahaha
