Weekend Roundup #1

Hi all!
Every Monday, I plan on posting something called a "Weekend Roundup." It will basically just entail what I did over the weekend, but hopefully will be interesting! If I ever skip over one of these, you can just assume it was a pretty chill/boring weekend. :)

My weekend actually started on Thursday because, the family I nanny for went up-north and took a long weekend! I went swimming with one of my good friends, Rachel, and her family. It was a lot of fun, and I really enjoy spending time with them. I also went down to my dad's house for dinner since I hadn't seen my side of the family in quite some time.

Friday was incredibly busy, but mainly consisted of going shopping with my mother-in-law! We went to Kohl's, Hobby Lobby, and Great Lakes Crossing. I bought a few things, but I've been trying to save some money so I didn't splurge too much! After a full day of shopping, Corey and I went out for dinner (I'm drawing a blank on where...?), went to Woodward to cruise for a little bit, then went to a movie with our friend Garrett! We saw The Fantastic Four, and I actually enjoyed it!

Saturday was a pretty hectic day. Corey and I woke up a little late, so we had to rush to pack and drive to Grand Rapids for one of Corey's co-workers weddings. Their wedding was so cute! The wedding itself was held outside of a barn down by a river creek.  The reception was held in a barn. We were a bit jealous because, we wanted our wedding to be in a barn. I was a little too eager (or impatient, whatever you want to call it... ;) ) to get married though, and I didn't want to wait until the summer months to hold the wedding. We stayed at a DoubleTree hotel, and Corey introduced me to their ahhh-mazing cookies. Apparently, you get a cookie every time you walk in the doors?? I'm a natural cookie monster, so I was pretty excited about that!

Sunday was a pretty chill day. We left Grand Rapids around 10, got home just a little before 12, then went to help one of Corey's friends fix his girlfriend (/one of my good friend's) car. Unfortunately, they weren't able to fix it, but I think it was fixed today! We also played putt putt (I won! :D), and did a little grocery shopping.  Like I said, nothing super exciting, but it was nice to have a relaxing day!

Next week's Weekend Roundup will be pretty long as well because, I only work two days this week! I'm looking forward to my FIVE day weekend!
