A Day in the Life (Weekday)

Note: Before I begin this post, I want to clarify on my post from yesterday about something. Corey definitely does not have baby fever. He has the furthest thing from that. Angie and I are the ones who have baby fever... big time haha. I had a few people ask me about that, so I just wanted to clear that up! :)

My life is very, very busy, and I don't have a lot of downtime.  I prefer it this way, and basically always have! Before I was a nanny, I worked at a dollar store. While working there full time, I was a part of my sorority, planning a wedding, and going to school full time. When I quit my previous job, it was sort of a relief. However, almost right after that, I got married and graduated from school.  This left me with nothing to do, and I was going crazy! I now nanny for an amazing family, and the two girls keep me incredibly busy!

I start my day by waking up around 6:00am. After I'm a little coherent, I'll get up and get ready for work.  Most days, I have to be over to their house by 7, but sometimes it's a little later (like 7:30/8). The girls will typically already be awake, so I don't have much downtime! I feel very lucky if they're still sleeping by the time their mom leaves for work. Sam and Soph are normally ready to have breakfast as soon as they wake up, so we'll start with that. After breakfast, we have a little bit of relaxation time by watching TV and just hanging out.  By 9/9:30, they're ready to get up and dressed. This takes about 30 minutes after everything is said and done (getting dressed, brushing their teeth, brushing their hair, and taking their vitamins). When they're all ready for the day, we'll go to the park or do some crafts (depending on the weather) for a couple hours.  We have lunch around 11:30/12, and then have a little more down time.  After they feel like their rested again, we'll either go back outside or to the park again.  When they're done playing at the park, we'll go home and do another craft.  Lauren gets home around 5:15/5:30, then I get to go home!

Our days vary a lot, but this is just a generalization of what we do on a day to day basis.  I like throwing in some educational activities as well, since they're both going to be starting school in a couple weeks (Pre-K, and Kindergarten)! We also play with their dogs throughout the day!

When I get home from work, I'll throw in a load of laundry/do some chores and either cook dinner or decide where we're going for dinner.  Corey will get home around 6/6:30 then we'll have dinner.  If it's nice outside, we'll generally go for a bike ride, but if it isn't we'll go see a movie or just hang out at home.  This part of my day always varies, as well. I try to always make time to write out a blog post before I go to bed (Sunday-Thursday). Then, after everything is over, I'll get ready for bed and hit the hay!

My life isn't very exciting, but I don't have a lot of room for extra activities. I like my life though, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I'm so thankful to have a set schedule where I know what will be happening almost everyday. It makes planning things so much easier! ;)
