HOLLLAAAA- I'm back(ish)!

WOW! It's been awhile! Between nannying, side babysitting jobs, and PintSizedPlanner things- I've been SO busy! I don't have a life outside of any of that! I can't even tell you the last time I spent time with my friends because it's been so long! I have a growing list of things that I need to get done, but I have really been wanting to update everyone on what's going on with EVERYTHING!

Corey and I are officially house hunting.  We're waiting for our pre-approval letter, and then it's on to look at some houses! We've already looked at a couple, but sadly, they're already off the market. I can't wait to get our own house so I can have an entire room to dedicate to PintSizedPlanner, my craft room, etc.!

PintSizedPlanner has really taken off! I had a slow start, but I'm continuously doubling my numbers every week! It's a really great feeling knowing that I built this company up, and I can't wait to see what other great things will happen with it! In the next few weeks, I'll be adding in invitations, greeting cards, and things of that sort! If you have any requests for invitations (what kind), leave me some feedback in the comments!

Nannying is going great! I love watching these two little girls, and I'm so blessed to have been able to find a job like this! It's so flexible, and really makes it easy for me to hold all these other jobs!

I'm not sure what else was going on in my life from the last time I blogged, but I promise to get back into the swing of things with blogging! Especially about planning stuff!

I'm currently editing a PWM, so be on the look out for that!

Have a great night!

Long Time No Blog!

WOW! Has it been awhile since I've posted on here, or what?!

I apologize for the lack of blogging the past two weeks.  I've been working like a mad-woman on my Etsy shop, and I can't wait for it to open so you all can see what I've been up to! I'm trying to teach myself to use the program I've decided to go with, so it's been taking up a lot of my time. Once the Etsy shop is up and running, I'll be posting more! My goal this week is to post at least two other posts.  We'll see what happens!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

xoxo,
Rachel

Why I Want to Open an Etsy Shop

There are so many people out there selling planner stickers on Etsy... especially Erin Condren stickers! So why did I want to open up a shop that will be selling stickers, also??

Every shop I buy from doesn't have exactly what I want.  I've been settling the past few months since I've been super into creating spreads every week in my planner.  A huge issue I have is the size of my handwriting.  It seems like all these shop owners have super small handwriting, so it doesn't cause any kind of problem for them.  However, I know a handful of people who are a part of the planning community who have large handwriting like myself.  The stickers I'm creating will allow me to write using large handwriting without making the spreads look crammed.

Another reason I'm opening my own shop is because, I don't want to pay for stickers anymore (haha). It's super expensive, and really burning a hole in my pocket! My stickers will be affordable, but still have great quality.  Right now, it's looking like each sheet will cost approximately $3.  I have bought from some very reasonably priced shops, but I'm still excited to not have to pay for stickers anymore!

I won't just be selling stickers, either.  When I decided I wanted to open up an Etsy shop (about 3 months ago), I originally planned on selling wall clings.  I plan on having decorations of the same sort in my shop at some point, but I'm starting with stickers for the time being.  Since the two things don't go together, I'm probably going to open up a completely different shop with the wall clings.  That will be awhile down the road though, and everything is still up in the air!

I'm hoping to have everything up and running by the beginning or middle of October.  Any updates will be posted on my Instagram (first), and this blog (second). Go follow my Instagram! @pintsizedplanner

If you have any kind of suggestions as to what kind of stickers you want to see in my shop, leave a comment below! I'm most familiar with the Erin Condren planners, so keep that in mind!

Have a great weekend!

Instagram: @pintsizedplanner

Hi All!
A few days ago, I decided to make an Instagram account for this blog! If you would like to follow me, my username is @pintsizedplanner.  I'm trying really hard to interact with all of you who read my blog! If you have an Instagram, please follow me!

I kind of published a little spoiler on there, which I'll talk about super briefly! I'm working on opening up an Etsy shop.  I've been working an extra 3+ hours a day (on top of nannying 10+ hours a day) to get this up and running. Who knew it took so much work to open an Etsy shop?? As soon as I have everything finalized, my Instagram followers will be the first to know! (This is why you should follow me on there!)

I also have a contest going on right now! If you follow me, then like & share a certain picture on my IG account, you'll be entered into a drawing.  The winner will receive a small prize of $10 worth of planning supplies.  You must live in the United States to enter. Also, make sure you tag me in the picture so I know you entered!

There are many more super exciting things happening, and I hope you all are as excited as me!

xoxo,
Rachel

The Past

Today's post has nothing to do with planners, planning, exercise, etc.. It does, however, have to do with mental health.

In the past, I have suffered from terrible anxiety and depression.  Multiple things have made me this way, but over the past few months I have gotten rid of things that would trigger me to have any type of anxiety or depression episode. Recently, I have been bombarded with some of these triggers reappearing in my life.  As unfortunate as it is, I have learned to just ignore these things.  My life will continue to be so much more easier by ignoring the triggers rather than letting them get to me.
It wasn't easy getting rid of these things, but it was very necessary.  I was in a very dark time in my life, and I can now say that I'm doing much better.  While this may sound very vague, I hope that it can help anybody suffering from anxiety or depression. Let it (people, places, things, whatever it may be) go, and you'll feel 100% better.  I promise.

Weekend Roundup #5

Hi Everybody!
I had a very relaxing and long weekend! It was so relaxing that I don't remember much of what I did (oops!). Luckily, I have my planner to look back on! ;)

Friday I spent nearly the entire day with one of my best friends, Rachel. We did a lot of running around, like going to Costco, Five Below, and Meijer. We also went and got our nails done! I got a pedicure and she got a manicure.  I needed one really badly, so I'm happy we were able to do it together!

On Saturday, Corey and I went out to lunch at the Broadway Grill in Lake Orion.  It was delicious! After that, I went shopping with Angie at Sam's, Petco, Lane Bryant, and Famous Footwear. I wanted to go to Kohl's, but the parking lot was super crowded. I can only imagine what it looked like on the inside! After we were done shopping, we went and picked up Corey, Kaylyn, and Al, and went to Oceana Inn for dinner. YUM! I hung out out with Kaylyn for a bit longer after we got back, then we went home.

Sunday was a very laid back day.  The only thing we did was go to Arts, Beats, and Eats! with my dad, his girlfriend (Micki), her son, and my brother.  We went out to dinner afterwards to Duggan's Irish Pub.  It was pretty decent!

Today was even more relaxed. We were supposed to go to Greenfield Village, but we decided against it due to a lot of factors.  We ended up just getting lunch at Sagebrush, then hanging out at Angie & Al's for a little bit.  Corey's Grandma is in the hospital, so we took Angie up there to see her. Afterwards, we went to Hobby Lobby.  Since we've been home, I've been working on a lot of marketing stuff for this blog (and maybe something else...? ;) ).

I made an instagram for this blog and my upcoming surprise! Go follow me! @pintsizedplanner @pintsizedplanner @pintsizedplanner @pintsizedplanner
There's a giveaway going on right now, so check it out! Anybody can enter, as long as you follow the directions!

That's it for this weekend! I hope everybody has a great week at work. Make sure you check back this week for a few more posts!

PS- I hope you like the new layout! Let me know what you think in the comments!
